Southwest Airlines confirmed that its employees received a written apology Tuesday from the pilot whose cockpit rant sparked anger around the globe, Local 2 Investigates reported.
“Because of the impact of my comments, I wanted to communicate with you directly,” wrote Capt. James Taylor, of Argyle, Texas.
Local 2 Investigates fought for the release of his cockpit comments that tied up an air traffic control frequency used by the FAA’s Houston Center. The tape was then played on news outlets worldwide.
